That is, if a person has unpopular views about race, they are censored, and are generally in “violation” of the policies of sites like this and Craigslist. Do you think this is symptomatic of the denial that characterizes how race is dealt with in this country?

I say this because when they come to learn english , thanks to the media they come with the idea that I will probably be white or talk like typical Americans in TV. I’m hispanic and i’m quiet so my laanguage skills are so undeveloped and that is why i’m not like what they would expect. Recently i met a japanese in craigslist and he offered to do language exchange with me but i sent another email where i warned him that i’m not white so i’m not gonna speak like what you think americans speak like..
Is this a good idea to do? Long time ago i keept meeting japanese at university and they all seemed disappointed that i wasn’t your typical outgoing american, that’s why i feel now that i should warn them.

I really need help here. My mom’s friend just revealed to her that I’m gay (I denied to her that I’m not..well I AM but its too early to come out…) Now she’s transfering me to a new college coz she blames everything on my current college…which is really gay. It was something like, “I’m sorry to let you know…but I think your daughter is gay.” Had a really serious talk with my mom…she is trying to turn me straight! Tells me “Be Yourself”,,,,well I am being myself…its pretty crazy I guess….cuz I dress like a dyke….act like one too….Someone saw my pictures on facebook.com….and decided to turn me into my mom…how crazy…..I guess I’ll have to live in a lie again….I thought once I got out of highschool…things would be different…I’d be free in college….but hellz no cant even be what i really am….this sucks// double life sucks….Any advise on what I should do now? She is really mad because she thinks I fked up everything…its really shameful I guess….Help???
Like last time we broke up i begged him a lot but he behaved like a jerk. Then i was heartbroken and accepted the invitation from one of his friends(not very close to him) to go with him for thanksgiving. Then my ex went crazy and chased me down. But in his message he’s always like i wanna talk to you but if you dont wanna talk, i’m find with that too. You know, showing him non-chalant but actually he was crazy to get me back at that time. We broke up again during his finals week b/c he’s stressed out and i was high maintenance. Lately we met on aim, normally once he sees me on line during our breakups, he would immediately block me. But now we are just both online and not talking. And he just added “scrubs” as his favorite tv shows on facebook. A month ago when i told him scrubs has become my favorite show he didnt even like it. And now he’s doing this.I kinda feel he’s wanting me to beg him again like i did in the past.I’m not sure though but I dont wanna beg.i want him back though
This is his first relationship in 21 years and i feel he likes to play games a lot to maintain his so-called dignity. Like when we are out sometimes we got lost but he always refused to ask for directions. He’d rather go around the same place over and over to find his own way. I hate this kind of impractical moves of his!
