So I’ve added AdSense to my blog – http://dclhome.blogspot.com/ and has had mixed results. One day there were 4 clicks and $2 in earnings. Another day, 10 clicks, and $0 earnings. Why? I’m guessing it’s not as simple as $0.01 per click. Can anyone explain how AdSense work (i.e. how can I figure out how much I can earn) or provide a free resource that’s helpful? Thanks
I am somewhat puzzled. I am looking for paid employment (not volunteer) in computers or internet work. When I check the newspapers, all the computer jobs listed have technical specifications that I do not have. Many of the job requirements oddly enough are for computer applications that have only been available within the last two years. This makes no sense at all. So there are hundreds of software packages out there and no one can know them all. There is a lot of computer hardware out there also and no one can know it all. So what is going on here? Obviously no one can fill these jobs and that is why they are advertised. The employer really has to come down in their requirements and size up ordinary people for the jobs.
I have a diploma in Computer Information Technology (2o years old) and a certificate in website design four years old but still I am having trouble finding a match to an employer. I am doing something wrong. I tried www.craigslist.org and did better.

Does anybody out in yahoo answerland actually make a living at adsense? Does anyone make a supplemental income? I would think I’d start part time and move to full time if it worked. I could probably devote 10-15 hours a week part time. 40-50 once I went full time. Note that I’m not looking to become a “rich jerk” I just want to have a home based business doing things I like: writing & internet.

In a few weeks I’ll be moving for a job that will keep me in the same city for about 1-2 years. Once I find an apartment I’ll have to furnish it; since I’ll be moving again within a few years would it make more sense to rent than to buy furnishings? Should I just browse through Craigslist for a few days to find cheaper furniture? I was wondering what other options are out there…what it comes down to is that I don’t want to have a ton of furniture to move every time I start a new contract.

I HATE the MySpace interface and so have switched to Facebook. I don’t understand why the users of MySpace don’t revolt! It gives me a headache just trying to use it, the interface is EXACTLY the same as it was when I first joined 4 years ago! How can this be!? I realize that it is very popular because it was the first on its block, but aren’t they going to make it user-friendly and just institute some common sense? When you use the Facebook interface it is 1000x more user-friendly and intuitive, just brilliant. You could not pay me to use MySpace, just thinking about it gives me a headache…What do you think?
