I’m trying to find some websites that have streaming music.
Sorry, I’m kinda computer illiterate. I think that’s what it’s called.
Basically… the URL starts with “http” and ends with “.mp3″.

Facebook now has a feature where you can share videos and music!!
I go to YouTube for videos… I just don’t know where to go for music.

If i wanted to set up a concert how would i contact artists and get a sponsor?

Im a college student and along with a few friends we have started the Real Hip Hop w/ a purpose movement to promote artists in the genre of hip hop who actually deliver a message within the music they write and produce. Examples of such artists would be Common, Mos Def, The Roots, Talib Kweli, and Lupe Fiasco. The idea is to host a concert in the Houston area sometime in the near future to promote this movement. If it is a big success, who knows where we could take this . Does anyone have any advice on how to gain sponsorship from companies such as myspace and facebook? Also how to get in direct contact with certain artists.

Is there any way to find out what kind of music is popular at various colleges?

Facebook used to have a feature that kept track of the most popular music, movies, TV shows, etc. at Colleges, but I can’t seem to find that anymore. Is there any other way to get an idea of popular music at colleges?

The reason I ask is that I’m kinda tired of going to a school where very few people even appreciate my music. So I’m curious about other schools heh
