I think I was trying to be scammed by this person who told me to email them my FedEx tracking shipping number to receive my money order. I don’t think the site exist because it’s full of pop-ups and ads and I can’t log in. I’m glad I got my package back. I think they are a fraud. I was trying to sell an item on craigslist. Plus these people told me that they could only deal with me ONLY through the email. Wouldn’t give me information about this company, not even the 1-800 number. The package was supposed to go to Largos, Nigeria. What do you think?

I auctioned off an item on craigslist an someone well a few people chose to pay me through usps money order claiming once i shipped out the items that usps would come to my door with cash in hand for me is this real or a scam.

Craigslist scam, what to do with the money order?
I have ALMOST fallen into the craigslist scam (the one from Nigeria). If I do receive the Post Office ‘money order’ what should I do with it? I know NOT to cash it, but would it be worth something to any authorities? Could I be a victim of identity theft because of this in the future?
Should mention that I have NOT shipped anything.

Is This A Scam??? If so what are they about to do?
I placed our old car on Craigslist.org to sell it and we have a person that wants to buy it. However he has not seen the car. He said that he is going to send payment in the mail-howvever it will be an overpayment. The difference in amounts he would like for us to give to the shipping company that is coming to pick the car up for him. We asked him tpo pay by money order, the name of the shipping company and person coming to pick the car up,a copy of his state ID to be included with the money order, and a tracking number for the payment once he mails it.
It just sounds really fishy to me and liek a scam-has anyone else experienced this? Please advise.

Who could you go to in order to report a “Western Union Scam”?
I’ve listed a car on craigslist, and some yo-yo is trying to use this tactic: “A distant buyer or prospective tenant sends a money order or cashier’s checks that exceeds the actual price or rent.
The distant buyer or tenant requests that you forward the excess amount to a third party via Western Union, or Money Gram. After initially accepting the check, your bank informs you several days later that the cashier’s check is fake after you have wired funds to the third party.”
Obviously this guy is scamming, and I’m curious who this can be reported to. Thanks.

Am I Being Scammed?
I was selling an item on craigslist for 160 dollars. I recieved an email from a lady named Monica taylor and she was hopping to be the highest bidder for the item so she offered 200 dollars for it. She told me that she already sent a money order. She said that she would email me a fed-ex slip and she would give me her fed-ex account number so I could ship it to her. Then i recieved a email from UPS saying that they verified the money order that she sent, but before i could recieve my money i would have to send out the package first and then verify my shipment with UPS. They verified my shipment and told me to schedule a date for them to drop the package off so i scheduled it for Monday, July 31 at 3:00, the package did not come. then i recieved a email saying that they would have to reschedule the drop-off to a different day because my contact info was wrong. So i sent my contact info in again and they said they would drop it off on Tuesday, but i still didnt get it. Was i scammed.
