Best/Cheapest way to sell collectibles…?

I have numerous collectibles that I’d like to sell (a wide variety of things that I’ve had since I was a kid).

I refuse to sell on eBay again. The listing fees on eBay are relatively high and there’s a lot of scamming going on with eBay these days.

I was thinking of holding a yard sale but I’m concerned that I won’t attract the right sort of people – I won’t be able to move these items for a decent price.

I’ve also considered CraigsList (with the same concerns as the yard sale). Then I found sell.com but I’m weary of the success rate.

I need a method that doesn’t charge much by way of advertising/sellers fees.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to HOW I should go about selling collectible items? (eBay is NOT an option)
Should I try selling online? Which site should I use?
If I have a yardsale, how do I attract the buyers interested in collectibles?

Any tips would be appreciated – Thanks.
Mostly Barbies and resin Boyds Bears.
I haven’t gone through the boxes since we’ve moved…There are so many that they’ve taken up my spare bedroom =P
I just found out that Yahoo Auctions is now FREE!
I am going to try that first and if all else fails I will try a yardsale/fleamarket booth.

I been married and accepted her kid from previous guy, kid still thinks i m her dad.i give all i got to her. im 25.my family was against it from the beginning cuz of kid,but i still marry her. my problem now is that she dont want to have sex as often as i do. i dont want to cheat but i think about it every other night. i talked to her so many times and she cool with it for couple days and then back to same. Other then this she’s excellent. i feel rejected and frustrated when she says no. i even go to craigslist to find a whore and just get it over with even though i could hook up with ex or sumbody but i dont want drama. Should i leave her? What should i do? i feel like i m missing out. I never got a chance to be a player like my other friends and bros because i thought that once i m married with the person i love i would get as much sex i want. I guess you do pay a price to be married.

Is it just me or do others find it wrong for our school to punish kid for things they do outside of school?

I find the myspace issue of the school punishing not only the poster who threatened a girl but also those who visited the site very disturbing. Shouldn’t the law deal with the issue of a threat of phsical violance against the girl? and the school focus on education? Also how can you jusify punishment for just viewing the site. The girl herself could have gone just to see what was being said, so how if viewing a sign of guilt of anything wrong?
I think I need to make some things clear.
1st It’s not my school in fact I’m old.
2nd The posting was on MYspace.com and not done dure school time or with school property.
3rd. And as I stated they are punishing students for viewing, with no proof the student agreed with post or not.

Myspace and facebook?

Is it normal for people to just take you off their friends list for no apparent reason with no explanation? Because a while ago I added this kid thta graduated last year and don;t see anymore and they had me on their list for a day and then took me off. I got really upset and thought people hated me so I got rid of it. But it seems like it happens more, just people taking people off their lists for no explanation? Is that common? Also should I get it back?

How do I succesfully win an argument with class?

I was best friends with this kid last year, and like everything was cool. But then this year, all he does is trash me, and I can’t even get in a word in without him calling me gay or say STFU or something. And I was wondering, is he really worth it? He is really two faced, like he’ll be my friend one second, then when another kid is around to see how “funny” he is, he will just completely change and become a total idiot. Like, I was his best friend last year. But also, if I want people to know how much of a jerk he is now, how can I defeat him with class, or in other words, how do I let people know about him without stooping to his level and just trashing him and calling him gay or something. I just want him to realize that his jokes on Facebook and things about him “owning” me aren’t even funny, and that he’s ruining his reputation and is just a complete jerk.

is he scared to talk to me…?

well i’m going back to the summer. this kid from my town, who in the summer i havent met ever, sent a friend request on myspace, he’s very cute =) we used to talk a little through messaging and stuff, give em some advice about his girl. well last year in the beginning of september, i finally saw him through the halls in school. it was crowded & everything – but i caught his eye lookin at me..and i smiled and looked away.. we’ve had a lot of those but he would never come up to talk to me or anything. well just yesterday i checked his myspace, and the song “you’re beautiful” by james blunt was playin on his page. for people who dont know what that song is about: a guy who sees a beautiful girl but never talks to her, blah blah, just google it for lyrics. so now im wondering, is that song pertaining to me? i mean honestly, it feels like he’s tryin to avoid me..but i know guys – and guys are sometimes scared. am i right or am i just comforting myself?

How concerned should I be about what my 8th grader posts on his MySpace?

He’s a smart kid who makes good choices. We do have a good relationship as far as talking. I’ve seen his MySpace page and he doesn’t know it, and I haven’t seen anything worrisome. I worry about other people (who aren’t his friends) accessing it or finding him in real life. There’s just been so much negative publicity and I want to be a responsible parent.
