Why does it seem like nobody likes me?

I’ve been told i have an awesome personality and stuff but i dont have very many friends. only like 3. Im 18, work full time, and currently taking one class in college at night cuz i gotta work (im gonna take more classes next semster but all at night). im not ugly and have good clothing style and such. im nice to everyone and i love making people happy. (but i am annoyingly Mature for my age–like a 30yr old stuck in an 18 yr old body.) but how come it seems like people still dont like me? like when i was in high school, i joined clubs and played soccer and even then it didnt seem like anyone wanted to be my friend. they barely spoke to me. i was always by myself and last to get a partner. even now, i dont have much a social life at all. i see all my college classmates having a blast and for godsake, have comments on their facebook/myspace from more than 5 different people! i will talk to people but then they treat me like im some sort of loser or something. whats the deal?
And with the friends I have, there’s only one girl (we’ve been friends since we were 12). Guys are cool and all but they have that deal where “they wanna be more” or i cant meet a potential date because i’m with my guy friends. I wanna be friends with GIRLS! how can i do that? girls are the ones that seem to be so mean or hostile towards me and im not sure why.

LADIES! – How can I tell if this girl likes me?

We are both in college and take a class together. She caught my eye on the first day of class. Every time I would look up from my book, I would catch her looking at me (at least that’s how it was on the first day, I can’t say it has been that way as much since then).

Once I found out who she was via our class roster, I looked her up on Facebook, got her to add me as a friend, and then asked her out for coffee, which she accepted.

Even b4 then, we hadn’t said “hi” to one another or even spoke to each other in person, yet she still (for whatever reason) agreed to meet with me for coffee without knowing a thing about me except how I looked!

We only talked for a little over an hour when we first met, and she has been pretty quiet since then – she will respond to questions I ask her or conversation I initiate, but she won’t ask me questions on her own or initiate conversation herself.

I thought there might be a chance that she liked me… now I am not so sure. Any thoughts???

LADIES – Your input would be greatly appreciated!?

I am in college. I have a class with this girl I have had my eye on for a few weeks now.

We’ve met up once already at a coffeehouse where we talked for a little over an hour – the basics were covered (favorites, interests, etc).

She really seems to respond more to things I ask/tell her over Facebook – moreso than in-person.

The problem I have is this: she is really quiet! She will answer questions I ask her, and respond to conversation I initiate, but she will not ask me any questions, and she never starts up a conversation with me!!!

How can I get her to feel more comfortable around me and willing to let her guard down/be more talkative?

Thanks in advance for your input!
Would I be better off to avoid talking to her in person for a few days, or keep trying to initiate different conversations?

I am afraid that by “ignoring” her for a few days, that she will think I am no longer interested in her, and that she will lose interest in me, or that she will just lose interest in me completely regardless of what the reason may be.

Does her not talking to me mean that she is no longer interested in me, and that she is too afraid to tell me outright, or am I overthinking this matter too much?

I just wish I knew where I stand with this girl!!!

Ladies – I need your insight?

I am in college right now, and there is this girl that caught my eye on the first day of class. For those of you who know what Facebook is, here is what I did:

I asked her if she would add me as a friend, to which she responded “Sure I will; it was nice of you to ask me first”.

I replied to her message with “I was just wondering if you might want to meet me sometime outside of class so that we can talk to each other in person?”

She replied with yes, and now I am going to see her tomorrow.

The problem I have is this: Even though we have class together, we sit on opposite sides of the room, and due to this, haven’t said one word yet to one another.

My question for all of you is this: Why would she agree to meet me when I haven’t even introduced myself to her yet? – She literally doesn’t know a thing about me, yet she is willing to meet me for coffee tomorrow! – I don’t want to think that it is because she is attracted to me – what else could it be?

She’s 19 – I’m 21

HELP! Does he like me more than just a friend or not?

I got this class w/ this hot iranian guy in math class i once wrote him a note, asking for his name, & all he did was just answer it.No conversation.But i realized him look @ me often.So a month later 2day, i wrote him again and i said “what do you do after class” he was like “go home”.i wanted 2get 2him closer, so i asked him if he’d go 2 starbucks w/ me on campus, he said yea sure.we talked pretty long and often he smiled and stuff, and then i had 2 go 2class and he walked me to the door of my class and i was like “well when you get off, u can call me and talk” so he took my number and i we said bye,&smiled. He changed seats w/ his friend 2b closer 2me but why??

I wasnt sure if he’d call at all. He added me on facebook n- after i got out of class, he TEXT me.i was surprised.He complimented me on the pics on facebook and today he brought me to my car n we talked moreBUT, he doesnt say much.y? he said he wants to talk 2 me.

So does this look like he is interested in more?

I Need a Sounding Board…Female and Male Opinions!!!?

OK, there is this girl at college who had the same class with me last semester. We never really talked, but I want to talk to her now.

Should I do this?

If I should, how should I go about talking to her. I feel strange messaging her on Facebook or AIM or otherwise contacting her since we never really talked before.

It’s very unlikely we’ll have another class together this semester (starting in 3 weeks).

I really want to give it my best shot, but am afraid that the door is closed!
What should I say when I message her?

there was this girl in my summer class we didn’t talk much…school msg’d her on facebook so we talked for weeks..but then i mentioned about my trip and that id give her a souveneir…and she wa slike oh really how sweet? ( like as if she found it wierd) so she was like…we should meet up sometime….then i talk to her another day…and i left a msg on her facebook..said i had like a souveneir waiting fo her and for her number…but then i talked ot her on aim about cause no reply…so then she blocked me and erased me from her facebook as a friend…I know i shouldnt of told her i had a souvenier since we had just met and not talked much in class..but i felt she was out of my league and that i had to have an excuse to talk to her….pathethic but i was nervous…cause i like her i think….i tried telling her that out of my league stuff but she wont listen and now i dont kno what to do but i think i care…if she talks to me or not…what should i do?
