How do I report a pedophile to the police?

My best friend and I share an apartment together and we recently took on another roommate from craigslist, and there are some things that we noticed.
He’d been going on out computer and viewing child pornography. my bestfriend and I didn’t catch on at firs because he was deleting the cookies, temporary internet files, and the internet history.
Well, I guess he forgot to do it the other day, because we found several pictures of very young girls (ages 6 to 9, I’d say) posed in very provacative positions, etc.,
The only thing is, I’m not sure how to confront him and I want to call the police but I don’t know what the procedure is for this kind of thing.
If I report him to the police, how would I prove it was him and would they guarantee that he went to jail?
I don’t want to report him if nothing is going to happen and if my security is in jeopardy.
He doesn’t seem like a violent person, but I’m afraid he may become so if confronted.
Any suggestions/answers at all?

Also, the computer is now kept locked via password at all times.

I’ve also checked childsafe network to see if he is a registered sex offender and he is not. I am, however, worried that just because he HASN’T done anything yet, doesn’t mean he WON’T…
P.S. There aren’t any children in the house (thank god) and I haven’t deleted any of his sites. He was also signed into his Yahoo! email while he was looking at the photos.

My best friend is not my best friend. Help?

My best friend and I have been best friends for 7 years. Then, she went off to college a few months ago, and we haven’t talked AS much as we used to. She never answers my emails so I send her comments on facebook(it’s like myspace) and she didn’t even answer my last one but i saw her answer a lot of other people in the past few days, but she hasnt’ written to me in 2-3 weeeks. She’s not acting like my best friend. Then my brother told me while ago that he called her last night and wanted to know if she wanted to go see Santa Claus 3 and she siad she’d ask her parents and let him know. So she’s making plans with him but not me? I think she’s home for the week for Thanksgiving, because everyone else is. So she’s home for the holiday, and she’s making plans with my brother (as friends since she has someone at college that’s into her and vice-versa) but she makes plans with him but not me? And she hasn’t called to say she’s even home.
When she first went to college, I emailed her all the time and she’d call and say she got it but she didn’t write back. when she did, it was about her. she never asked how i was doing, or anything, and she hasn’t been treating me like a real friend for like, a year. there’s so much i told tell u that would explain what i mean

How do I succesfully win an argument with class?

I was best friends with this kid last year, and like everything was cool. But then this year, all he does is trash me, and I can’t even get in a word in without him calling me gay or say STFU or something. And I was wondering, is he really worth it? He is really two faced, like he’ll be my friend one second, then when another kid is around to see how “funny” he is, he will just completely change and become a total idiot. Like, I was his best friend last year. But also, if I want people to know how much of a jerk he is now, how can I defeat him with class, or in other words, how do I let people know about him without stooping to his level and just trashing him and calling him gay or something. I just want him to realize that his jokes on Facebook and things about him “owning” me aren’t even funny, and that he’s ruining his reputation and is just a complete jerk.

She does not act at all like a best friend to me. She never calls now that she’s at college, so it’s been almost a month since we talked. She took a trip with her COLLEGE friends over the weekend and promised me she’d email me when she got back, but she didn’t, but she did message a dozen friends on facebook.com i noticed. she used to criticize me and act like my mom and what not. One time at school I had to get some flyers from her this past year and so I asked her and she snaps at me all rude and says “I’m getting it, DON’T rush me, give me a minute.” ms. priss, sheesh. then one time i asked her to help me do some math problems because she said she would help me and she is all rude & says “I don’t know. gee. i haven’t taken that class in forever, u think i know how to do it?” i don’t WANT a friend like that, or a so called friend. we aint talked in a month and that’s her fault. wat to do? she’s spost to be both a genius and a christian but she doesn’t act like it. What u think?

Here is the story. I am a college freshman, and I believe I have a crush on this girl, who is very classy, nice, and always smiling. Both of us are in ballroom dancing club, and that’s how I got to know her. I have known her for only 10 days, but I feel that she is the girl I really like. Whenever I meet her and talk to her, I try to find some common grounds and talk about them. However, I’m a little worried because I am not so humorous. I have recently noticed that some dudes have started talking to her. I can see they are trying to hit on her. My best friend tells me that they are ugly scrubs and that I should be able to “get her” as long as I have confidence. I am still worried though. I wrote on her Facebook wall several times, but she never wrote back. I wonder if this indicates her lack of interest. I know I should take some time to get to know her better, but I don’t want to see someone else becoming her boyfriend. I need some advice. Thank you.

I have a bf and i been with him for 2 yrs and a half about to be 7 months but he has a facebook and my best friend told me to go on hers and i seen that he was writting to his EX that he misses her and that she looks good also.. and than i seen her wrote to two other girls that go to our school!! I need help!! I wanna break up with him!! I started to lose feelings.. for him he went to greece in the summer cause he went to see his family. I know he hasn’t cheated on me.. I know that for a fact.. but what should i dO?? he’s been texting me all night and i haven’t answered.. and now hes like shitting bricks.. excuse my lang.. LMAO.. but yeah.. what should i do?? Ok, so this girl is My best friend, like My sister. And, she is dating this guy, named Tom. And, she keeps telling Me that she is not dating him & I know that she is . And, she posted that she hadn’t changed the relationship status on Facebook yet. But, the truth is, wouldn’t she have changed it when she noticed that it hadn’t been changed?

And, she may be pregnant with his kid. And, I’ve told her 3 times before that it is either Me or him . . . & it can’t be both

I hate the guy & she & him both know it.

Do you think that it is right if, she turns out to be pregnant with his kid that I just stop talking to her?

How can I stop being jealous?

Recently my best friend (let’s call him bob) moved to another state for college. I’ve liked him on and off for a little less than 2 yrs and I think bob has liked me for about a year and a half. The other day I told him that I like him and he replied that he likes me. However, I’m worried that the physical distance between us (I’m in CA and bob’s in the midwest) might create an emotional distance… also, he has met a girl in his college who has the same name as I do and I can see that they talk about getting lunch together & hanging out & stuff like that on his (this part may sound really lame/immature…) facebook. I’m just a naturally jealous person but I’d be so sad if bob started falling for the other girl. Bob’s trustworthy best friend had told me more than once during our senior yr in high school that bob liked me a lot and that bob doesn’t really talk to a lot of other girls except for me. (bob & i went to homecoming/prom) i miss bob like crazy. how can i stop feeling jealous?
