  2. Hi,

You can sell text links on your site as long as it receives good amount of traffic. Check textlinkbrokers.com If your site does not receive very good traffic forget about that.

If you have a content site you can use Kontera.com
The articles below are also useful I think:

  3. Your mileage varies and no one can predict what will work well with your site. I suggest you experiment with the various programs to see which ones work best.

Make sure though that you carefully read the Program Policies of each network to make sure that you are not violating any rules. For example, you may wish to apply with other contextual advertising networks but Google Adsense does not permit serving competitive ads on the same page as the Adsense ads. Hence, you will have to create sections of your site that serves Adsense while some may serve YPN or Kanoodle’s BrightAds.

You can explore various ways you can earn money from advertising:

    1. Join an advertising network. Advertising networks are organizations that aggregate Web sites that offer advertising space, and sell banner ads (and other advertising options) across them. Traffic requirement is often a minimum of 5,000 monthly impressions, although many do not accept sites hosted by free page services.

    2. Participate in contextual advertising networks in addition to Adsense. Contextual advertising are text ads delivered based on the content of the web page using an automated system.

    3. Sell advertising for your site directly. This is admittedly a more difficult route for a small business site wanting to earn advertising revenues. But hey, as they say: “no pain, no gain!”

    4. Use Affiliate Programs – you sell other people’s products that your audience may be interested in; and you get a certain commission after the desired action was done (whether a sale, a lead, subscription to email newsletter, or however this is defined)
