When you create a craigslist ad, you specify your e-mail addr. The ad then gets a link to their e-mail relayer. When a respondent clicks the link to send mail, it gets relayed to you. The responder never sees your actual address in the ad.
You can’t “connect” your e-mail to craigslist. Once you receive an e-mail from a potential buyer, you have to responde directly from your e-mail account to them if you wish to communicate, and thus reveal your e-mail addr.

If I understand your question, you’re wondering how contact someone through Craigs List.. each ad has its’ own private e-mail address. Now there are certain e-mail services that won’t let the e-mail go through, so you’ll have to check to see if your e-mail account is accessible.
