Should facebook become open to all people?

The creators of Facebook are considering opening Facebook to all, by allowing people to register in their regions. It was an exclusive site open only to college students and faculty. They’ve already opened it to high school students and companies, which I think is too far.
I’m not asking whether or not it should be open to all colleges, because it should. I’m asking whether it should be open to the general population.

Definately. It wasn’t opened at my college until fairly recently.

  2. No. That’s the point of facebook. It’s fun because it’s exclusively (or was) for university students… If people want to have face book then they should go to school. If not, get myspace or some crappy site like that that allows everyone.

  3. No Way! The fun of facebook was that it only existed through the school you went to…I remember having to wait for my school to be added!! If facebook decides to do that I think they will get a lot of crap from the media like myspace did. Beware facebook…people are already pissed about the mini feeds!!!!

  5. NO.

Facebook should only be for students. I don’t want it to turn into a site like Myspace with 40 year old stalkers who live in their mom’s basement. I think the creators need to stop changing facebook and just realize that it was better before.
