Furniture doesn’t have to cost alot….I buy alot of stuff for my apt at Marshalls. Also, try Rooms To Go Outlets.

Try garage sales, estate sales, second hand stores, etc. Also, ikea has stuff that looks ok but isn’t super expensive.

U can rent some piece and buy some others. It probable in your best interest to buy certain items like a TV., DVD or VCR and kitchen items with bedding. As for major pieces..what do u need. A couch get to any rent a center and get something reasonable. If it cost too much for a 2 yr period. Check the quick quarter or section in your newspaper for cheap furniture. Even try the furniture store sometimes they have pieces that are on clearance area because they were reposed or show display pieces. Do the same thing for a bed. Maybe get a coffee table or a TV stand and u r good to go. U don’t want to have so much stuff it would be hard to get rid of. If u end up getting a cheaper bed and sofa when its time to go sell in paper and get some of your money back on it. If its rent u call them when its time to leave. Good luck with it all.

There are some furniture galleries that offer Leasing options for people in your career situation. I know they are not Rent A Center or anything like that. They are “real” furniture stores, but unfortunately I can’t remember a name of any of them. My best suggestion is to look up (City Name, Furniture Leasing Galleries and Stores) on yahoo search. Or something to that affect.

Buy a few key pieces new, and some at thrift stores, consignment stores, garage sales, etc.
Right before you move again, from that place, hold your own garage sale. They’ll flock to see your things and take them off your hands for you.

Buying might be a good investment. Even if you end up selling for the same price you bought, they’ll mean that you’ve had free rent for the time you were there. As for furniture, Craigslist is good. If you get a few nice furniture/decoration items, you can also get some cheaper ones, and you wont look like your living in the ghetto.
Just imagine if you meet someone special, you don’t want to be embarrassed to take them to your place.
See what’s most important for you and what isn’t (like a nice couch, or some smaller and easily movable artwork), and go from there.
