  1. Through your web statistics software, you can track Adwords performance — but NOT through Adsense.

You cannot break down the source of traffic for Adsense, but you can do one thing: have a special landing page for your Adwords campaign and you track the landing page through an Adsense channel. However, the data is not perfect because visitors are likely to move from the landing page to another and hence they might not click on the Adsense ads on the landing page. They may click on ads on another page, and you have no way of knowing that these people came from Adwords.

If you use Google Analytics http://www.google.com/analytics you can track your keyword conversion from Adwords, but it does not link to Adsense.

You can use tools such as Asrep to better track where Adsense income came from. This software costs $50 at http://www.asrep.com/ and it can give you the referrer domains and other metrics that the control panel of Google Adsense cannot give you.

Yes, many web tracking tools will allow you to see the referring URL of clicks coming to your site. If a click came from Google’s Ad Sense partner, the referring URL will contain Google and the domain name of the partner. If you have a conversion tracking tool, you will be able to track clicks and conversions for each domain. If you want a free site tracking tool, type, “free site tracking” on Yahoo!, you will find a list.
