Who Let the Blogs out?
In 1999 a geek from california named Dave Winer invented the concept of a blog with his program manilla. Since then it has really taken off.
A blog tends to be a series of topics discussed from the authors point of view which can be very opinionated. Its a great way to get published and see your writing in print.

RSS gives you live feeds from your weblog to another site. Basically I think it gives you the ablility to see the titles of different topics youve blogged on another “subscriber” site.
