Why is craigslist.com so popular?

In my opinion, i think it sucks…hard to navigate, buttload of text, content you can find elsewhere…

Why is it so popular?
What is the main reason(s) people use it>

It is free. One can post jobs, etc. without a cost. Where else do you find so many free classified ads?

It is only text to save bandwidth.
