Hi – do you know when you click on an icon from a website – the color of that icon changes from blue to purple

If you go to Craigslist and click on a bikes, autos, or other stuff the color of the icon changes from blue to purple. ..showing that you have gone there before. How can a person refresh this…changing it back to the original color of blue?

What do I need to do to my computer or that particular website to change it back? I don’t want somebody to know that I went to these particular places – as in “romance”

PLEASE HELP

Clear your cookies and that should clear your visited links as that is what keeps a record of where you clicked on certain sites. Go to Tools-Internet Options and press the ‘Delete Cookies’ button. That should do it, but also know that if you have automatic logins on sites or prefilled in items from websites you visit regularly (like it saves your email address and you only have to type in your password), those will be cleared as well.

  3. The author of a page sets these colors using the LINK and VLINK tags… The VLINK color is for Visited LINKs.

You would have to clear your browser cache, history and cookies to have the PC “forget” the visit!
