i just came back from the uk and have a lot of coins which i didn’t exchange before leaving the country. can i post the coins on say craigslist and sell them to someone? the amount is approximately $32us. thanks for everyones help

Banks do not want to trade in foreign coins. Keep them for a souvenir, or sell them to someone heading out to the UK .

No, you’d be best off going to a bank in a big city and trying there… or just hold on to them because the dollar is relatively strong right now to where it will be in say… a year. It’s all cyclical.

If you take your money to a federal bank, they can exchange it there. There should be one in the closest major city to where you are.

yes you can sell them any way you like foreign currency is an investment a bank or personal investor will want them. I used to do that sort of thing

trading in the foreign exchange is most of the time rather simple and plain sailing, however it can be risky if you are looking for big profits, I suggest you read as much on the subject and find good articles before doing it, one free resource site I particularly like is this :

Yes you could sell them on e-bay or take them to any airport exchange both or take them to the federal reserve bank.you could find a coin club near you someone will buy it for sure .
