CraigsList shouldn't load slowly on any device that has a decent internet connection. It's just text, unless you're viewing an ad with pictures. Even then, the pictures are typically small.

My guess would be, without knowing any details about the laptop and assuming that it is using the same speed network connection as your PC, is that there is something running on your laptop that is chewing up bandwidth or CPU cycles, probably the former.

Click the Start button, click the Run... menu, then type msconfig in the box that pops up. Look at the programs in the Start Up tab, and one by one type the names of them into Google search. If something strange comes up, uncheck it. Then reboot.

Me, used to sell buildings in NYC and a long time resident of Manhattan.

Still in the real estate business as a lender and working on a 1031 exchange web site http://www.nnnstore.com soon to be http://www.1031store.com

If your using Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options. Then select delete cookies, then delete files. Restart Internet Explorer.

If your laptop is wireless there might be other issus/ The above might be a quick fix for you though.
