Previously Google disallowed free hosting sites such as Geocities but they have now changed their position and allows free hosted sites specifically Geocities.
However, be careful to not double serve, if the free host is running adsense on the page (including in a frame) to support the free hosting. And also be careful that Geocities is not running any competitive ads (like the YPN), which would violate the adsense terms if you were to also run adsense on the page.
