Yes they are true I have a great work from home job I have 4 kids and it makes it possible for me to be their for them when i need to be The 1 thing I can tell you that you need to find something you can get behind something you can support and believe in So that you are having fun not just working make sure they are with the BBB and really watch the start up fees other companies will give you the same thing tools training and web sites for allot more money then others I wish you lots of luck in you hunt for you work from home job Misty

Most people who work at home and are successful are doing one of two things – getting paid a commission on everyone they convince to join the program (also known as MLM or pyramid plans) OR they have their own business. Your own business is something you create yourself, not find on the internet. You create it based on your skills, your passions not on what someone else tells you is the GREATEST thing going.

If you are looking at one of the endless “opportunities” out there be careful – most are scams. Here are a few questions you should ask to help figure out if the one you are looking at is for real or not.

Legitimate work-at-home program should tell you – in writing – what’s involved in the program they are selling. Here are some questions you might ask:

* What tasks will I have to perform? (Ask the program to list every step of the job.)
* Will I be paid a salary or will my pay be based on commission?
* Who will pay me?
* When will I get my first paycheck?
* What is the total cost of the work-at-home program, including supplies, equipment and membership fees?
* What will I get for my money?

I think for most people who work from home (myself included) we actually found the work through normal channels, not looking for ‘work from home’ jobs. They tend to evolve that way if the method of working is easier or you are head hunted or running a small business of your own.

i checked out data entry from home and i wasn’t thrilled. the one i called i had to pay $80 for a list of companies that have contracted through this company before.
so i pay $80 bucks and still have to call all these companies to get work from them. then, if they want something on excel and you don’t have that program…guess who’s footing the bill.

i actually started a home based business and i LOVE it.

http://www.bbb.org (better business bureau) has good information about that. many work at home deals are fraud.
