Which amp would work better for my car stereo?

I know absolutely nothing about amps, and am looking on craigslist and see a Rockford Fosgate 360 II (180 * 2) for $98, and a Virtual Reality Sound Labs 4-Channel Car Amplifier for $40 with a lot of stuff I don’t understand. I just had 2 (sorry if I get these names wrong) QB Quarts up front and to Dynotechs in the rear installed in my car but they don’t have enough juice to play a clear sound.

  1. I would say the Rockford Phosgate. They have really clear and strong sound….unless you have some old speakers. If you get an amp, you want to make sure the speakers can handle the wattage that the amp will dish out.

  2. if you know nothing about amps chances are you are still a novice and will get plenty of enjoyment out of a decent inexpensive 4 channel amp. however if you only have one set of rca plugs behind your sterio then better to go with nice two channel amp for your rear speakers and sterio amp for the front. this gives your front the double the power they are getting now from the sterio

  3. If you are looking to hook up normal speakers(not subwoofers) then go with the 4 channel amp and it will sound way better.
