I only use it for the classified section, and it’s good cuz it’s free and it’s for locals in your area so you can buy or sell things easier and faster. It’s a great place to go to find free stuff people are throwing away, or getting rid of your own junk. Free advertisment basically, instead of paying a newspaper. People also use it for dating ads, employment, real estate/rentals, etc.
I was dissapointed by it. I live in the capital of a state, decently sized city (probably about 250,000 people in the area) but craiglist had more hookers listed on it than anything else (and to top that, most of them were fat or ugly). So yeah, I was dissapointed by it.
It also could use a facelift. It’s 2006, even just a minor improvement to the site’s appearance might help add to it’s appeal.
It’s a great, wonderful concept which I can respect, it just seems as though it’s owner isn’t giving it the attention it needs to keep it in tune with current internet trends.
