I am looking for a used Acura CL in the Dallas area. Anyone have any suggestions of where to look online?

December 21st, 2009

I want to buy a used CL. I want a car with (relatively) low mileage (under 100K would be nice – but up to 140K is acceptable.) I want to spend under $10,000. I know there are cars that fit my specifications out there, but whenever I find them, they’ve already been sold!

I have looked on:

Craigslist
Classified Ads in ALL of the Local Papers
autotrader.com
autobuyguide.com
autobytel.com
autoextra.com
automallusa.com
automart.com
automotive.com
cars.com
carsdirect.com
carsforsale.com
ebay.com
fastcarstobuy.com
icarfinder.com – (I think this one’s a scam)
internetautoguide.com
thebiglot.com

Does anyone have any OTHER suggestions? Is there something I’m missing? Is there anything else that would be similar to Craigslist?

I’m beginning to get frustrated! Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated!
I’ve looked on carsoup.com as well. They don’t have any listings in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. They only have listings in Houston and San Antonio.
CarMax is overpriced for cars in my price range. I’ve looked there as well. I actually got my last car there, but from what I can tell, they mark up the prices on their cars quite a bit.

If you can’t find it on AutoTrader.com or eBay there just may not be one available in your area.

There are a lot of car locator services that Credit Unions use.

Also, CarMax will ship a car from one of their locations to another all over the country for a small fee.

Here are two good auto sites where you can search your local listing for Acura CL:

I believe police clearance houses are a good place.
Go with a mechanic or someone you trust. I picked up a car 2004 toyota highlander hybrid for 750$ Car was actually worth 41000$

    Good luck
