How do I get through a school web blocker like “Websence”? Send me some sites!?

People at my school want to get to myspace.com, but can’t, because Websence pops up and says:

Access to this web page is restricted at this time.

Reason:
The Websense category “Tasteless” is filtered.

try going thru a proxy server…

but any smart web blocker will also have ‘proxy’ restricted. you might want to set up your own at home.

I’ve answered questions like this before; if you’re really desperate search this site for ‘myspace’ or ‘proxy’. Unfortunately, WebSense blocks most proxies eventually so you’ll have to keep finding new ones.

I wouldn’t advise using MySpace anyway, it’s pretty dodgy. You’d be better off with Orkut or Friendster, or Flickr for photos. Check out this site for why: http://www.applexnet.com/trent/blog//index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=50
