if you have an itouch/iphone and the myspace app, you can send a friend request from there without needing an email address.

ask them what their page is ex:myspace.com/soandso, then click the add to friends link under their pic

Their Account settings probably have something that requires their email to add them

that is in their Account Settings, and there is really nothing you can do about it xP
