All I can say is that I feel ya AND this is such a drag. Are you kidding me, 1500 word sales page and one dam sentence about monthly membership. Ugh.
You know I just put out my ecourse. First IM product ever. 3 Hours of video how to and a 55 page ebook.
$97 … no up sell. I really hate these up sells, they are starting to get at me … that is why I did not create one for my product. Expensive, yes but I feel for what you get it is a good product.

This is actually quite common. A lot of so-called IM gurus are doing this kind of thing now. It is a shame.And when people try to say, “I know he is a nice guy…” Listen, anyone that tries to do this to someone isn’t a nice guy, but rather a scammer that is trying g to rip people off. I won’t buy anything from Joel.

I don’t know if you overlooked it, or if it has been changed as a result of this video, but there are two options. 1. You can do the trial membership. 2. You can just get the book. I know I said I wouldn’t buy anything from him, but went ahead and bought the book and it is actually pretty good. It has over 200 pages (a lot more value than what most people give for an ebook of this kind).

First of all, kudos for pointing this out. I agree with you completely, ANY recurring billing tactic is scum-bag-ish, very much so. If the other posters are accurate, and the recurring offer has been removed, then your efforts were worthwhile, and double-kudos to you. The great thing about youtube is we can expose this kind of crap instantly. Perhaps the book isn’t bad, but lets send a message that these marketers CANNOT pull this and get away with it. That’s WHY their ads are so long.

OK, so he messed up. The good thing is that he took action to make things right by changing the offer.
So what do you hope to accomplish at this point? Are you keeping the video up to remind him of what he did wrong, or to try to ruin his reputation?

Good job of exposing that kind of scam. I to am sick of this kind of shit. The way the word “free” is used in cyberspace as well, is a disgrace to the english language. People that do that kind of stuff should have their internet sevices shut off for awhile.

If thay knew some secret to make easy money on the net then they wouldnt be trying to scam people. They will be millionaires. mind you, thats how these people make their money, fucking scumbags
