I never went to college, if i did go it would only be for a two year degree, but it seems like the occupations available nowadays that don't require some college can pay just as good as ones that do. It almost makes me rethink going, i mean, I'm upset that I don't have any college background ,but, as a server, I make such good money and work so little hours that I'm almost thinking about not ever attending. A few of my friends work in positions that requires a 2yr degree and yet somehow I'm making more money than any of them and working less hours on top of that. The work is not hard for me at all and i don't think it will be for many many years to come, should i really even think about college? The only downside is i get no benefits, but everything else is great. And the 40 hour a week business job does not appeal to me whatsoever, because I would rarely get to see my husband. Serving is a bit demeaning to call my career, but it speaks pure money,… :/ suggestions?
The only reason I do not like to serve is because i can only make the money i do in fine dining, and i get alot of rich doctors, lawyers, architects, etc… its a constant reminder of how unimportant my career is to society compared to theirs. I'm always online trying to learn something new but I know it will never apply to my job and no one will ever know my true skills.
