What site marketing techniques are best for a new website launch?

I see a lot of different people peddling a lot of different things. Should I go with pay per click ads? Should I enlist the aid of a url submit service? Do I need to hire an SEO or other type of marketing company? I don’t have a big budget so I’m not sure what to do. Thanks!

  1. First, do not listen to the doom and gloom people who can’t wipe their own rear end that wants you to quit before starting.

If you have a limited budget, you need to learn seo as S stated. It is a way for you to slowly build a solid foundation, this is great for long term growth. Do not try to take the short road if you are starting from nothing with nothing.

do a search for “brad callen, seo made easy” in google, it is a free ebook in pdf format that gives good basics of seo, just DO not do the link exchange. Then, do a search for “5 star affiliate marketing forum” They have good people there that will help you with questions you may have about seo and internet marketing, just a group of good people and well moderated, so it is a top notch pic for info.

S also gave some good info, but just to add to it, king content has nowhere to sit in the seo kingdom without a throne of links to lift him up.

So make sure you focus on links more than content.

  2. Really depends on your product then and how fast you want customers (of course budget is always a concern as well).

If you want instant traffic – use PPC, it’s the only guaranteed traffic you’ll find. If you go this route, however, make certain your site is flawless and ready to sell your product, easily and concisely (don’t waste those clicks),

I would also read-up on SEO and doing it yourself. It will take some time, but it WILL pay off. CONTENT, CONTENT, CONTENT is HUGE. Make sure you’ve got your keywords in your content and Title tags and update your site as often as you can (blogs are great for this, and easy to setup).

That should get you started – get on google adwords and do your research there as well. Start with a decent-sized budget to get you moving …

    Good luck!!

Nothing….if you don’t have the money to advertise the business why even start it?

  4. You can carry on your processes….When ever you follow these processes definitely you can achieve good traffic but you need to select best processes in SEO. You can do Directory submission, One Way Linking, social book marking(SBM), blog directory submission, web 2.0 pages along with pinging.

  5. If your budget is zero, then you will have to do all the marketing work yourself. This means writing articles and submitting to directories, posting on forums, sending out lots of emails requesting links, etc. This will take all your time. If your budget is limited but above zero, then you should find a good service that helps you with the most time consuming aspect of marketing. This aspect is getting backlinks. The Neurolinker system is the the first one you should check out. It is very cheap and solves your backlink problem.
