Can I sue someone for Libel with emails and craigslist listings?

March 5th, 2009

Someone trashed my husband and me in a craigslist posting causing us to loose customers and leads for sales. What evidence do I need to build a reasonable case? Thanks!

You would have to have concrete proof who is was, and that they MEANT to defame you and cause you harm. It is very unlikely that you would find an attorney to help you with this without upfront payment.

Rough guess, some documentation that above said ocurred. Possibly with a signed statement from someone.

you would need to prove that they believed it was not true when it was posted, what you actually lost due to the posting, and who posted it
